Appointments
Please arrange future bookings in session. I prioritise recurring appointments so that you can attend consistently. This means my diary is a bit tidier, and other clients can book their regular slots too. I sometimes have cancelation spots come up, if you’d rather book week by week. If you are joining online, the link is always the same. Prior to our appointment, you can fill out this optional questionnaire to help me understand what you would like to focus on during our session.
COVID-19 cautions
I am COVID-19 vaccinated and am up to date with my booster shots. I only offer in-person sessions to those who are vaccinated from COVID-19.
I am happy to wear a mask during our sessions if this is your preference. I wear a mask in crowded public spaces, usually on public transport and at large events. I have hand sanitiser and N95 masks available for clients too. I disinfect shared surfaces in the clinic daily. I tend to leave the window open most of the day for airflow. I ask any clients with cold or flu symptoms to not attend the office, and join our sessions online. This is for my own health and the health of clients, especially those who are disabled, chronically ill or immunocompromised.
Cancelation fee policy
Please review the cancelation fee policy when you book. I do charge cancelation fees to ensure that I can continue offering low cost counselling, and I am paid a living wage. I also have a waitlist so this will ensure others are able to access low cost therapy. If clients are over 25 minutes late to sessions, we may have to cancel the session, incurring a cancellation fee. I really don't enjoy charging cancellation fees, but have to, to ensure that the sliding scale can remain sustainable. For extenuating circumstances, illness and first time cancellations, I usually don’t charge. If you are mildly unwell, you can also join in on Zoom.
Session timing
Our sessions are 50 minutes, and future bookings and all queries have to fit within the 50 minutes. This also means we can only do so much in sessions; so I encourage you to consider, and I always try to ask, what you'd like to focus on in sessions. You can request support letters for different things, which I'm more than happy to provide; but we will generally have to use our session time for this.
Getting in touch with me
At present, I only work Tuesdays & Thursdays, and so will aim to get back to you within 5 business days, though sometimes it may take longer.
